- At least one fixed idler roller is attached to – and moves in unison with the unwind stand to keep the material on a constant plane through the air-flow sensor as the diameter of the unwinding roll decreases.
- The air-flow sensor mounts to a stationary part of the machine-independent of the shifting stand and does not move during guiding.

A custom Unwind and Rewind Inspection system with a secondary unwind and rewind to manage the protective liner materials.
The Unwind features a Closed-Loop Tension Control system and Coast’s exclusive All-Air Guiding System to accurately align and control the tension of an expiring roll of Poly Based Woven Materials into the Inspection zone while a secondary winder takes up the protective film on an air-driven winder shaft.
The Rewind system features a Closed-Loop Vector driven system with a secondary unwind to payoff a new protective layer of material into the winding roll of material.
