Roll Stand Control

Tired of fried circuit boards, burned out motors, leaky hydraulics, obsolete spare parts, or needless downtime?

Our RSC models (Roll Stand Control) are fully assembled and pre-piped pneumatic systems. They are primarily used to attach directly (outboard) to an existing shiftable unwind or rewind roll stand and automatically position a roll of material to a predetermined point based on the location of the edge sensor.

These compact guiding systems are ideally suited for new machines as well as retrofits (upgrades) for older ones.

We guarantee that once you've tried the All-Air system, you'll agree that it's the best web guide on the market.

Roll Stand

These standard units are powered either by a P60 or P80 series air cylinder.  The cylinder's smooth but powerful thrust transfers to a carrier block mounted on 1-inch race rods and linear bearings. A threaded rod with two stainless steel spherical bearings creates a rigid connection between the carrier block and the intended stand.

All RSC units come with our standard Auto-Center Assembly allowing the system to be put into "servo center" during startup.  Clean service is provided via a two-stage cartridge/coalescing air-filter to keep the system performing in tip-top condition.  Electric Manual/Automatic Auto-Center is available upon request.

While using an air pressure of 8 PSI, the P60 model (6" diameter air cylinder) is capable of shifting a total weight (roll + stand) of 2,500 lbs (1,134 kg) on linear bearings. In comparison, our model P80 (8" diameter air cylinder) can maneuver heavier loads up to 5,000 lbs (2,272 kg) in total weight.  Basic models come with either a 4" or 6" stroke.
